Two six-year-old girls are running around.
One stops and says to the other "If you want to be tznius, you have to sit on the ladies table with me!"
The other little girl begins to look a bit confused.
I came over to my sister and go "I am so NOT sending any of my future daughters to that stupid school. They're six for heavens sake, who is oggling them at age six? Stupid school and stupid parents for encouraging such speak. They're six!"
And well, all I have to say is this, the frum community is one over-sexed psycho place. You can't have six year olds talk like that. I understand that they have no idea what they're talking about, but still, you don't teach that to SIX YEAR OLDS!

The sexual repression in the frum community leads to people keeping quiet when their children are hurt in the schools. They are so afraid to talk about anything Taboo that it leads to problems. The issue is huge. Repression starts at young ages and goes through kallah classes.
It's wierd that such young kids are already aware of things like that, its like growing up too fast.
Henestly though, in America there are twelve year olds having oral-sex (סליחה מכבודכם). I understand why they'd want to separate themselves from such a culture. Anyway, if it's normal for the second and third graders to hang out with boys it'll become normal for the fifth and sixth graders, etc. I totally don't agree with that opinion, but that's perhaps how they feel.
What the little kid said seemed to me to be the equivalent of her saying, "If you don't sit at my table you'll get cooties." Nothing to do with being over-sexed or sexually repressed... nothing to do with sex at all. That's just how kids talk to each other... and because she goes to a frum school she used the word tznius instead of cooties.
who teachers her to use the term tznius at all for anything? She's six. no tznius laws could possibly pertain to her.
six yr olds run around in the mens section and they do what ever they want.
Someone explained to her that tznius is about seperation...what for?
Some crazy psycho decided too. Probably her school.
St first I thought it was going to say "if you want to be tznius sit with your knees covered", but this is weird.
I disagree, you should teach them the shomer song when they are very young.
I saw a girl about 7 and her father kept reminding her to tuck in her shirt (it was a little short) -- about every 30 seconds. For me I find wearing a long tank top under a short shirt very useful, but this was a little kid!
Wait until they start running to daddy crying that another six year old boy was not being shomer negia.
That really is nothing compared to some of the horrible stories I have heard. I have heard some pretty bad stories about what goes on at Bar/Bat Mitzvahs. Stuff goes on that I didn't know anything about at that age.
